- Receive, verify, and process hazardous and non-hazardous materials in SAP, ensuring accurate documentation, labeling, and storage.
- Transfer materials to designated locations once approved by Receiving Inspection.
- Pull and verify materials for Production Orders based on picking lists, ensuring timely movement to the next operation.
- Prepare and stage materials for external processing (e.g., heat treatment, plating), including packaging, documentation, and shipment coordination.
- Perform put-aways and support warehouse organization by allocating materials, conducting cycle counts, and optimizing storage space.
- Identify and resolve receiving or inventory discrepancies related to packing lists, quantities, P.O.s, or SAP errors. Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, and Inspection as needed, and escalate unresolved issues.
- Assist with NCR-related tasks, including scrap processing and vendor returns.
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, as well as Work Assist Vehicles (WAVs), following proper safety checks and procedures.
- Transport raw materials to/from the yard and assist with truck loading and unloading.
- Support general warehouse activities including labeling, banding, wrapping, and uncrating of materials.
- Comply with all safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA, DOT, HAZWOP, and RCRA.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience Requirements
- 2+ years with material handling/shipping & receiving, preferably including RF scanners, loading trucks, inventory, and picking & packing.
- Minimum of 3 years preferred in industrial or heavy-duty material handling.
- Ability to safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts and Work Assist Vehicles (WAVs).
- Understanding of hazardous and non-hazardous material storage and handling, including compliance with OSHA, HAZWOP, RCRA, and DOT hazardous material regulations.
- Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages) for inventory and stock accuracy.
- Proficient in email communication for coordinating with Planning, Procurement, and Inspection, and for resolving receiving discrepancies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, maintain inventory accuracy, and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer proficiency, including SAP transactions and use of hand tools and measuring devices (e.g., tape measure) for material verification.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP experience preferred, with working knowledge of inventory transactions, receiving, stock movements, and adjustments.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory tracking tools, or export documentation software is a plus.
- Forklift experience and certification preferred.
Physical Capabilities
- Frequently required to sit, use hands to handle and feel, talk or hear, utilize a computer and other office equipment.
- Occasionally required to stand and walk and/or move about a manufacturing facility.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds.
- Work in extreme heat and be physically fit to acclimate to intermittent exposure to radiant heat.
- Required to wear PPE.
