JOB LOCATION Growing Child Pediatrics at Knightdale -1005 Big Oak Ct - Knightdale,NC We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for theGrowing Child Pediatrics at Growing Child Pediatrics at Knightdalelocated in Knightdale, NC. We are seeking an individual with general pediatric experience and excellent communication and clinical skills who can work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team. TheDuke Growing Child PediatricsAPP provides direct patient care services to patients from birth to 21 years of age under the supervision of theDuke Growing Child Pediatrics physicians. TheAPPperforms physical exams, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies, professional consultations, collects and documents data, and prescribes appropriate interventions and medications in order to coordinate patient care. Explains the necessity, nature, preparation and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic services to the patient and/or family. Primary commitment will be for eight direct patient care sessions per week.Two sessions per week are administrative non-patient care activities. Weekend Urgent Care sessions at the Growing Child Pediatrics at Knightdale location responsibility consists of a minimum of six weekends per year dependent on business need. Session includes evaluating and treating newborn, well, sick and urgent care patients on Saturdays from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Prefer 1+ years of experience in a primary pediatrics clinical setting.
