What to Expect
The Commissioning Completions Lead serves as the primary owner and strategic driver of the completions program on the project. This role leads and mentors a team of Completions Coordinators and Data Engineers while partnering directly with project leadership to ensure the successful execution of commissioning and handover procedures. The Completions Lead is responsible for the integrity and performance of the Completions Management System (CMS), drives adoption of completions standards across all Project Execution Teams, and owns the development of advanced reporting, automation tools, and data analytics frameworks to support project milestones.
What You'll Do
- Program Ownership & Governance: Own and govern the end-to-end completions program, including CMS configuration, data integrity standards, audit frameworks, and handover procedures across all project phases, including continuous improvements
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Completions Coordinators and Data Engineers, delegating tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring consistent execution of completions workflows
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for completions-related matters with project leadership, engineering, construction, and commissioning teams; lead cross-functional alignment meetings and drive issue resolution at a senior level
- CMS Strategy & Administration: Oversee CMS architecture, systemization strategy, user access governance, and ensure all assets, systems, and boundaries are accurately defined and maintained through engineering revisions, tag changes, and RFIs
- Advanced Reporting & Analytics: Develop and own project-wide dashboards, KPI tracking, and progress reporting using Excel, Power BI, and internal Tesla tools; present insights and risk indicators to project leadership
- Training & Culture: Champion completions best practices across the project; develop and deliver structured training programs (beginner through advanced) for CMS and completions procedures for all relevant project personnel
- Data Control: Oversee the accuracy and currency of drawings, check sheets, and systemization packages as changes are incorporated through revisions, RFIs, and tag updates
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience leading completions or commissioning programs on large-scale industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects
- Ability to build processes from the ground up, set standards, and hold cross-functional teams accountable for completions quality and readiness
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, manage competing priorities, and drive accountability across cross-functional groups
- Deep expertise in CMS platforms, including system configuration, data validation, asset assignment, and audit management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data manipulation, reporting, and dashboard development; proficiency in Power BI or equivalent reporting tools required at this level
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to translate complex completions data into actionable project insights
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience presenting to senior project stakeholders and driving organizational buy-in for completions processes
