Job Summary

The Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) Specialist is responsible for designing, facilitating, and supporting initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, team effectiveness, and organizational performance.

The Specialist facilitates leadership learning experiences, supports talent and engagement initiatives, assists with change management and team effectiveness efforts, and helps ensure leaders have the tools and resources needed to develop themselves and their teams. This role combines facilitation excellence, relationship management, project coordination, and organizational development expertise to drive business and talent outcomes.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

Leadership Development Facilitation

  • Facilitate instructor-led in-person, virtual, and blended learning experiences for leaders at all levels.
  • Deliver leadership development programs, workshops, cohorts, and development experiences.
  • Create engaging learning environments that encourage participation, reflection, and practical application.
  • Reinforce learning through coaching conversations, development activities, and follow-up support.
  • Partner with leaders and HR teams to identify leadership capability needs and development priorities.
  • Collect participant feedback and recommend enhancements to improve learning effectiveness.

Leadership Development Program Support

  • Support the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of leadership development programs.
  • Assist in maintaining curriculum, facilitator guides, participant materials, toolkits, and learning resources.
  • Coordinate leadership assessments, development planning activities, mentoring initiatives, and related programs.
  • Track participation, completion, and effectiveness measures to support program evaluation.
  • Help ensure consistency and quality across leadership development offerings.

Organizational Development & Effectiveness

  • Assist with team effectiveness, change management, engagement, communication, and organizational development efforts.
  • Support the development of tools, resources, and learning experiences that enhance leadership, collaboration, and organizational performance.
  • Help identify organizational needs through feedback, survey data, talent insights, and business input.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of organizational development interventions and solutions.

Talent & Employee Development Support

  • Support talent review, succession planning, performance development, and engagement-related processes.
  • Facilitate development planning conversations and workshops.
  • Assist with leadership assessments, feedback sessions, and development recommendations.
  • Partner with stakeholders to support leadership readiness and career development initiatives.
  • Help leaders translate development insights into practical action plans.

Stakeholder Partnership & Consultation

  • Build strong partnerships with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and functional teams.
  • Serve as a trusted resource on leadership development, adult learning, and organizational development practices.
  • Conduct needs assessments and recommend learning or organizational solutions aligned to business priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support development initiatives and special projects.
  • Support enterprise-wide talent and organizational development initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in learning and development, leadership development, organizational development, talent development, HR, or a related discipline.
  • Experience facilitating classroom, virtual, and/or workshop-based learning experiences.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence across varying levels of the organization.
  • Strong organization, project management, and execution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, Teams, and learning technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience facilitating leadership development programs.
  • Experience supporting talent reviews, succession planning, engagement initiatives, or organizational change efforts.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience with leadership assessments such as DiSC, MBTI, Insights, Hogan, CliftonStrengths, 360 feedback tools, or similar instruments.
  • Certification or coursework in coaching, facilitation, organizational development, or change management.
  • Experience working in a multi-location operational environment.
