PRODUCTION CONTROL COORDINATOR

Position Summary

As a Production Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting the Planning and Operations team with overseeing the scheduling, coordination, and approval of products through the complete production cycle and shipping. You will ensure every production order follows the correct routing, maintain visibility to WIP inventory and rework from job release through shipment, and drive the actions needed to keep execution aligned to the defined production plan all while maintaining the highest level of product quality and production efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Works with Planning team to Implement and monitor production plans, including initiation, analysis, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.


  • Coordinates with planning and shop supervision to release jobs to designated work centers, to ensure customer requirements and CIRCOR business objectives are met.


  • Coordinates with planning and purchasing to release jobs for OSP to support the production plan.


  • Confirms job materials and tooling are at work centers according to production and shipping schedules, ensuring work centers are operating at maximum efficiency.


  • Communicates with Program Management, Engineering and Quality regarding schedule, status, and technical issues.


  • Resolves any issues that disrupt the production schedule.


  • Tracks and analyzes key production metrics (production capacity, WC efficiency, production cost...) and identify areas and methods for improvement.


  • Coordinates with Quality Assurance to ensure product quality and compliance meet customer standards.


  • Works with Planning and program managers to prepare and present reports to senior leadership on production status and challenges.


  • Verifies material holding up kit completion, provide status updates to planning, program management, and Operations team.


  • Verifies production orders are progressing through the correct routing and work center sequence per engineering and process specifications; identifies and corrects routing discrepancies.


  • Tracks WIP inventory and job status at each operation from order release through shipment, maintaining real-time visibility to location, quantity, and stage of every open order.


  • Tracks and logs rework and non-conforming material re-entering the production flow - including, work center impact, and disposition.


  • Align with Planning to drive actions when jobs deviate from the defined production plan, and re-prioritizing as needed to protect the plan date.


CANDIDATE PROFILE

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Experience in production control, planning, or similar roles within a manufacturing environment.


  • Excellent understanding of production planning, manufacturing workflows, and quality control principles.


  • Proficient with ERP systems and production planning software.


  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.


  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



  • 5+ Years' experience in a manufacturing role


  • High School Diploma or GED
