Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Reporting to the CNO, the Nurse Manager 2 has 24/7 leadership responsibility for departmental, clinical, staffing, quality, and financialmanagement for the hospital's Hospitality-Discharge Lounge, Staffing and Patient Placement, Patient Transport, House SupervisorTeam, CNA Float Pool, Clinical Lift Team, and the Transfer Center. The Manager2 ensures an effective patient care delivery systemthat is compliant and consistent with standards of practice. Implements strategies, processes, and standards to ensure clinical operationssupport key organizational and departmental initiatives such as quality of care, patient safety, employee recruitment and retention, andpatient satisfaction. Acts as the primary point of contact between the organization and the Managed Service Provider (MSP) for clinicalcontract/contingency staff, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration, seamless onboarding and access and implementingeffective strategies for surge staffing during peak demand. Oversees the MSP invoicing and uses data analytics to analyze staffingtrends, performance metrics, and cost-effectiveness. Promotes collegial relationships between Clinical Care Operations and other

departments or disciplines across the Medical Center and the community. Provides effective leadership to the Transfer Center to supportthe efficient transfer of patients from referring facilities or departments and to the Transport and Lift Team to support patient transportand discharge. Leads various leaders and clinical/non-clinical staff teams, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration amongcommunity hospitals, insurance companies, departments, and stakeholders involved in all departmental functions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Bachelor of Science, Nursing
  • Basic Life Support
  • Registered Nurse
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Prior management experience in an acute care setting
  • Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collect, analyze, and interpret data, including report creation and data validation
  • Prior experience in unit specific service line business

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Master of Business Admin
  • Master of Science in Nursing
  • Professional certification
