Summary

YAGEO Group/ KEMET Electronics is seeking a Tool and Die/Mechanical Technician in Simpsonville, SC. You will be working with an experienced, small team of engineers and technicians to build original equipment designs and troubleshoot existing equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities



  • Producing and installing, quality one off parts from drawings, using shop equipment from start to finish.
  • Assembly, start-up, troubleshoot, and installation of precision production and testing equipment including aluminum extrusion assembly, automation components, and robotics.
  • Manufacture solutions to problems that arise during the assembly process.
  • Work with Project Engineers to design, modify or improve existing production equipment.
  • Develop a broad understanding of the equipment and technologies used to make Ceramic capacitors.
  • Work with external suppliers to evaluate and help design new equipment.
  • Occasionally go to production locations for installation, startup and training.


Required Qualifications



  • Associate's Degree in related field or 10 year experience in precision machining/mechanical assembly.
  • Read and create Mechanical drawings & BOM's
  • Experience operating all manual Machine Shop equipment. Including semi-automated Mills, Lathes, Surface Grinders, and Saws. Some CNC experience is also helpful.
  • Communicate with suppliers and plant personnel, both in face-to-face and remote conferencing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities.
  • Experience using Word, Excel, Power Point, & remote networking software such as Teams helpful.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and fabrication is a plus.
