Licensed Nurse Assistant - Medical/Surgical Unit

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision of the Licensed Nurse performs direct and indirect nursing care for patients. Is responsible for the care provided to assigned patients and accountable to the unit manager/charge nurse for such care.
Provides care to assigned patients in conformance with Nursing Department Policies, Standards of Practice, physician orders and an approved plan of care. Promotes communication of patients' status, change in condition and patients' need with the licensed nurse.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE: High School graduate or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: One year of previous experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in a nursing home or hospital setting is required.
