The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota is seeking a visionary Assistant or Associate Professor with expertise in Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) to join our nationally and internationally recognized team.

In this role, you will work closely with leadership across the Cardiovascular Division and the Pulmonary Hypertension Section to expand our clinical reach, advance cutting-edge research, and help lead one of only two PHA-accredited Comprehensive Care Centers in Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence: Provide comprehensive, top-tier care to patients with complex pulmonary hypertension and right heart failure across advanced inpatient and outpatient settings.

Academic & Research Leadership: Spearhead innovative clinical trials, translational research, or basic science investigations to advance the field of PH.
Strategic Growth: Partner with Cardiovascular Division leadership to expand regional access to specialized PH care and advance the University's academic mission.
Education: Mentor and teach fellows, residents, and medical students within our academic ecosystem.

Academic Track: Eligible for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank at the University of Minnesota Medical School.

Clinical Skill: Proven clinical expertise in managing complex PH and right heart failure, including advanced therapies and multi-disciplinary interventions.
Research Focus: A strong track record or demonstrated potential for scholarly productivity, clinical trials, or grant-funded research.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
-Education & Certification: MD or DO (or equivalent) with board certification/eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease and specialized expertise/fellowship training in Pulmonary Hypertension.

-Minnesota Medical License

-Authorization to work in the US

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Total combined salary is anticipated to be in the range of $350,000-$460,000. Total salary is competitive with the market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic rank of the person hired, and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians, and begins at $215,000. Applicants should complete this application and also an application for a position with the University of Minnesota Physicians.; depending on rank/education/qualifications/experience.

Time Appointment: 100% FTE Appointment
