Salary Range: **$226,100 to $240,000 per year

** Starting salary is based on minimum education and years of experience and increases based on education and/or experience.

Overview: We're seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to deliver endtoend cloud software development and engineering services. In this role, you'll perform requirements analysis, develop and integrate cloudbased software, and support installation, evaluation, and enhancement of complex distributed systems. You'll sustain and optimize existing capabilities, execute testing and validation activities, and diagnose and resolve issues to ensure reliable, highperformance cloud solutions. Your work will strengthen missioncritical systems through modern cloud technologies and robust engineering practices. Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.



Responsibilities

    Design, implement, integrate and test new features and capabilities for cloud native service offerings.
  • Conduct containerization and container deployment training sessions, which include hands-on software configuration and programming exercises.
  • Develop API-based interfaces to support search and presentation of operational data.
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Debug existing software and correct defects.
  • Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
  • Design and code new software and modify existing software to add new features.
  • Integrate existing software into new systems, modified systems, and operating environments.
  • Develop simple data queries for existing databases, proposed databases, and data repositories.
  • Write and review software and system documentation.
  • Design and implement complex database and data repository interfaces/queries.
  • Develop and implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users and system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, and improve its performance.
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Apply concepts to develop, test, and maintain, high-performance, innovative cloud-based applications.
  • Provide cloud technologies, techniques and tools (e.g., containerization, container orchestration, data integration pipelines, provisioning automation, monitoring, application management, and function based (such as server-less) technologies).
  • Apply configuration management concepts and software development best practices.
  • Apply Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) principles.


Qualifications

Required Education & Years of Experience:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science or related discipline) from an accredited college or university is required and eight (8) years' of relevant cloud domain experience.
    • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline may be substituted for two (2) years of relevant experience reducing the requirement to six (6) years of cloud domain experience.
    • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional four (4) years of cloud domain experience, may be substituted for a total of twelve (12) years.
    • Cloudera Certified Hadoop Developer, CompTIA Cloud Plus (Cloud+), AWS, and Microsoft Azure foundational or fundamental level certification may be substituted for one (1) year of Cloud experience. AWS and Microsoft Azure Associate, Expert, or Specialty certification may be substituted for three (3) years of Cloud domain experience.

Required Skills

  • Two (2) years of Cloud and Distributed Computing Information Retrieval (IR).
  • One (1) year of experience with implementing code that interacts with implementation of Cloud Distributed File System.
  • One (1) year of experience with implementing complex MapReduce analytics.
  • One (1) year of experience with implementing code that interacts with Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks.
  • Two (2) years of experience with programs utilizing Big Data Cloud technologies.
