The Shipping/Receiving, Bulk Warehouse, and Material Handler supports the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse and production operations. This position is responsible for receiving and storing incoming materials, maintaining accurate inventory, supplying materials to production, moving finished products, and picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment.

Using warehouse management systems and material handling equipment, this teammate helps ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right time. Rooted in Our Values, this role requires a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Receive inbound shipments and verify materials against purchase orders, work tickets, and other documentation.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage, incorrect part numbers, discrepancies, or other nonconformance and communicate issues appropriately.
  • Receive materials into inventory using the warehouse management system and place materials in assigned storage locations.
  • Review production schedules, inventory information, work orders, and Production Work Tickets (PWTs) to determine material requirements and priorities.
  • Pick and deliver materials from inventory to production areas to support production schedules.
  • Verify materials supplied to workstations against work ticket specifications.
  • Move completed products from production areas to assigned inventory locations or staging areas.
  • Return unused materials from production to inventory and complete required system transactions to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Pick, pack, stage, and prepare outbound customer orders for shipment.
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Prepare shipments, including labeling, documentation, and hazardous material/DOT requirements when applicable.
  • Wrap, stage, and organize pallets for safe and efficient storage and transportation.
  • Transfer bulk materials into appropriate containers, including drums, totes, and pails, as required.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counting activities.
  • Communicate material shortages, overdue materials, inventory discrepancies, equipment concerns, and other issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, complete required safety checks, and communicate equipment repair needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and workloads while completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with production, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and transportation teammates to support daily operations.
  • Participate in required departmental, safety, training, and compliance meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Occasionally travel between company locations based on business needs.



Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training:



  • Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, material handling, production, or distribution environment.
  • Experience using a computerized warehouse management system, inventory management system, or ERP platform.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, production schedules, written instructions, and established procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify material or inventory discrepancies.
  • Basic math and organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately complete inventory and material transactions using warehouse systems and scanners.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office and JDE or similar systems is helpful.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting production and shipping schedules.


Licenses/Certificates:



  • Forklift certification recommended not required.


    • Forklift operation experience or training.
    • Experience with hazardous materials handling and/or DOT requirements.
    • Experience with cycle counting and inventory control.
    • Familiarity with JDE or another warehouse management/ERP system.
    • Experience working in a regulated or safety-sensitive environment.



    PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently asked to speak, hear, stand, sit, and/or use both hands to handle, or touch objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk, bend, distinguish colors or use repetitive movement for certain tasks. The employee must be able to lift and carry 25 to 60 lbs. occasionally and lift more than 60lbs. intermittently. PPE will be used while filling forklift and pallet rider batteries. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    Work is performed in a warehouse setting. Noise level is moderate to loud. Although the warehouse is climate controlled, the employee will need to be able to adapt to different climate changes. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.

    The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $20.00 and $25.00 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:

    2. Education and certifications: Any additional qualifications that enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
