The University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL) invites applications for the position of Barriger Endowed Professor in Transportation Studies. This is a full-time endowed tenured position in the Supply Chain & Analytics (SC&A) Department of the Ed G. Smith College of Business. The UMSL SC&A Department offers most comprehensive AACSB accredited supply chain degree programs in the State of Missouri, including a BSBA with Supply Chain Management Emphasis, an MBA with Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics Emphasis, an MS in Supply Chain Analytics, and a PhD Business Administration with an emphasis in Supply Chain & Analytics. The SC&A faculty are thought leaders in their fields well connected with the St. Louis region's businesses. Our newly launched Supply Chain Analytics Center of Excellence (SCA-CoE) provides leadership and best practices for supply chain research and education in the region and beyond. It is a nexus of academia, industry, and government who collaborate to pursue cutting edge research, foster supply chain workforce readiness, and generate strong social impact. The Barriger Endowed Professor will be an established scholar with recognized achievements in research, excellence in teaching, and an established record of external funding. Applicants should exhibit passion for applied research and show an interest in multi-modal transportation including railroads. The successful candidate is expected to collaborate with the SCA-CoE and the SC&A faculty on external research grants and class projects for experiential learning and community outreach. Teaching may include undergraduate or graduate courses (Master and PhD) in supply chain management, transportation, logistics, and/or operations. Service to the department and the college will include, but is not limited to, student engagement, community outreach activities, and committee service. Qualifications
