Join our team as a Housekeeper at Modello Homes! Gorman & Company is looking for a Housekeeper to join the team at Modello Homes, a 100-unit affordable housing community featuring LIHTC and Project-Based Voucher (PBV) programs. In this role, you'll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and team members by maintaining common areas, vacant apartments, and the property's exterior. What You'll Do
Clean and maintain community common areas, including the management office, clubhouse, model apartment, laundry rooms, restrooms, hallways, and other shared spaces. Complete daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, washing surfaces, and emptying trash. Thoroughly clean and prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including floors, surfaces, fixtures, and other areas throughout the apartment. Clean and maintain exterior areas, including sidewalks, parking areas, alleyways, and other common outdoor spaces. Complete routine trash pickup, leaf removal, sweeping, and other groundskeeping tasks to help maintain the property's cleanliness and curb appeal. Maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the Property Manager when supplies need to be replenished. Follow proper procedures for using cleaning products, equipment, and tools while maintaining safe work practices. Identify and communicate maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns to the Property Manager or maintenance team. Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with residents, visitors, vendors, and team members.
What You'll Bring
Previous housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, or related experience preferred. Knowledge of common cleaning products, equipment, and safe cleaning practices. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, orderly spaces. Reliable, organized, and able to manage daily cleaning responsibilities independently. Ability to communicate effectively and work professionally with a wide range of people. Good safety habits and the ability to follow established procedures. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors and perform physical tasks, including bending, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 40+ pounds.
