Driver Courier - PT - Charleston

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintains quality standards and safely performs duties while providing excellent customer service.
* Operates motor vehicles (van or station wagon) on a regular and routine basis.
* Daily delivery, pickup and carrying mail to and from assigned stops.
* Accurately and efficiently sorts mail and makes mail pickups and deliveries.
* Provides security for all mail during deliveries.
* Receive and document courier packages.
* Ensures distribution of mail is accepted by authorized official military/government personnel.
* Obtains receipts for articles delivered and keeps a log of mail-related items received and delivered;
delivers items to offices and departments within an establishment.
* Obtains signatures from recipients of special delivery mail.
* Maintains and generates necessary records required by the contract as well as those required by
Goodwill for mail services.
* Completes appropriate computer data entry.
* Advises patrons on the applicable postal service and Federal regulations.
* Assists in training assigned individuals in all phases of a mail center operations.
* Responsible for ensuring equipment and supplies are used, maintained, stored, and replaced
properly; ensure safe operation at all times.
* Maintains a safe and orderly work environment.
* Responsible for performance of safety drills and keeping the work site within OSHA standards.
* Other duties as assigned
