Slipstream is seeking a Building Science Specialist (BSS) to perform home energy assessments, quality control inspections, diagnostic testing, and training. We're optimistic, inclusive, and ambitious about our impact. We are seeking a Building Science Specialist with exceptional attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will manage multiple priorities while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Our ideal BSS has a track record of completing residential quality control site visits, ensuring energy efficiency measures and installations meet program specifications. They have the knowledge and ability to complete diagnostic testing and analyze results for heating system combustion analysis, carbon monoxide measurement, gas leak detection, zonal pressure identification, infrared scanning, and blower door air leakage measurement. As a key member of our Workforce Development Team, the BSS helps develop and deliver quality technical training and support materials for energy efficiency professionals. They are an effective communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into practical learning experiences, build strong relationships, and engage a variety of audiences. This position may be based anywhere in Wisconsin or in a state that shares a border with Wisconsin and requires regular travel throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states several times per month.
