Painter - Facilities & Services Building Maintenance & Grounds Job SummaryPerform tasks of applying protective coatings for the purpose of protection and beautification. Duties & Responsibilities
Physical Demands and Working Conditions1. Receives work assignments from Foreperson/Sub-foreperson or Director Building Maintenance & Grounds or Superintendents. Work is inspected by the Building Maintenance Painter Foreperson or Sub- Foreperson. 2. Is expected to support the Mission, Vision, Values, Guiding Principles and management operational directions and philosophies of Facilities and Services. 3. May work from roof, ladder, scaffold or stage 4. May work while wearing a respirator. 5. May work when exposed to vehicular traffic. 6. May work at heights, depths, confined spaces, noisy areas and in inclement weather 7. May work at heights on platforms or hung above tall ceilings. 8. May work amid hazards of work sites such as dust, noise, and in areas such as coal fired power plants, animal rooms, and laboratories. Minimum Qualifications 1. High school diploma or equivalent.
Appointment Information This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 3027 - Painter position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 9/14/2026. Starting salary is $40.96/hour. This position is not eligible for any type of visa sponsorship.
