Scope of Position This position is responsible for analyzing and solving quality problems, preparing inspection plans and instructions, selecting sampling plan applications, preparing procedures, training quality inspectors, performing audits, analyzing quality costs & other quality data, and applying fundamental statistical methods for process control. This position reports to Quality Assurance Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Franklin, NH. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Manufacturing team by identifying and working process improvements, the analysis of quality problems driving root cause and corrective action to prevent future occurrence of issues Perform failure analysis of customer complaints and returns. Drive root cause and corrective action to prevent future occurrence concerns Support Quality Engineering on the revision and preparation of internal and external Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection (FAI) Perform product and process audits, resolve corrective actions and document control duties Participate on the Material Review Board daily activities to ensure to collect scrap data to address actions to reduce scrap costs Communicate, prepare reporting of supplier, in-process and customer quality data and metrics Provide support to Quality Engineer on developing and maintaining needed Quality Acceptance Criteria Standards and facilitate training to the Manufacturing Associates Coordinate Document Control activities to ensure proper release and training of revised documentation and procedures Assist Quality Engineer with set-up and perform destructive and non-destructive test on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, and/or material characteristics Duties may also include responsibility for specific record keeping per manufacturing needs and using Excel to chart data and analyze trends Working with cross functional teams such as Engineering, Planning, Operations, and other Manufacturing functions. Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by department supervisor Perform routine housekeeping to ensure area operates within parameters that conform to environmental and safety standards Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and abide by safety rules Must report any job related injury and/or illness immediately to your direct supervisor Must maintain attendance and punctuality standards as established by company
Required Qualifications
High school diploma/GED preferred with 4-5 years of related Quality experience Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience using MS Office and MRP software General Applicable Company Competencies Commitment to Watts' values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement and innovation, and transparency. Working Conditions While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at the Franklin, NH manufacturing facility, and will perform most of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager. Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:
Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods. Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials. Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks. Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers. Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds. Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor. Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
