We are seeking a Product Designer to join our team. This is a remote opportunity based in the United States.

Job Summary

The Product Designer is a critical contributor within Imprivata's Product Design team, responsible for designing clear, effective, and scalable experiences for complex B2B enterprise software. This role partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, QE and other cross-functional teams to deliver user-centered solutions that balance customer value, technical feasibility and business viability.

A successful Product Designer at Imprivata demonstrates strong ownership and execution, collaborates effectively across disciplines, applies strategic thinking within their scope and consistently delivers outcomes that improve both user experience and drive product success. This role requires a growth mindset, comfort navigating ambiguity and the ability to translate user insights into thoughtful, high-quality design solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of Imprivata's products, users and operating environment, incorporating business requirements, technical constraints, and product priorities into design solutions.
  • Understand and apply product vision, strategy and goals to design decisions.
  • Own end-to-end design of features or problem areas across platforms, driving work to successful outcomes.
  • Create design artifacts such as workflows, wireframes, prototypes and UI specifications to explore and communicate solutions.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools to support design exploration, content generation and workflow efficiency while maintaining quality and alignment with design standards.
  • Identify and articulate design tradeoffs balancing usability, scalability and feasibility.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships and communicate design rationale, progress and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.
  • Influence decisions through clear reasoning and user-centered advocacy.
  • Conduct user research and synthesize insights to inform design decisions and iterative improvements.
  • Maintain high standards for design quality, accessibility and consistency.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure designs are feasible, implementable and well-documented.
  • Adapt to changing requirements and priorities while maintaining delivery quality.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Required Qualifications

  • 4-6+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI or Interaction Design for software applications.
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design of features across web, desktop or mobile platforms.
  • Strong foundation in user-centered design, interaction design and information architecture.
  • Experience conducting user research and applying insights to design decisions.
  • Proficiency in Figma and modern design/prototyping tools.
  • Experience collaborating in Agile environments with Product and Engineering.
  • English fluency, both verbal and written

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HCI, Interaction Design or related field.
  • Experience working on enterprise or B2B software products.
  • Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design standards.

This position offers a total compensation range of $126,000.00 to $136,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
