Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking to hire a Sr Financial Systems Analyst to join our Finance Data Products team. We are modernizing how financial information is governed, delivered, and consumed through scalable data products, AI-enabled insights, and modern reporting platforms. This role will own and enhance key finance data products and reporting solutions, acting as a steward of product quality, business value, data governance, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will partner closely with Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Information Technology, and business leaders to prioritize enhancements, solve business problems, and deliver trusted financial information at scale. The ideal candidate combines accounting and finance expertise with strong data, systems, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. In this role, you will report directly to the Financial Systems Director, who will provide coaching, feedback, and support throughout your career development journey.

Location: This is an onsite role at our GP HQ in downtown Atlanta, GA. While GP offers some remote work flexibility, there is a need for hybrid/weekly in-office presence for this role given the importance of fostering relationships and collaborating across several capabilities. We anticipate approximately three to four days per week in the office. We are seeking local applicants, or candidates that are willing to relocate to the area.

What You Will Do

Own and continuously improve assigned finance data products that support accounting, reporting, tax compliance, controls, and business decision-making.

  • Define and prioritize enhancement opportunities based on business value, risk reduction, user needs, and strategic objectives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting, data, and system solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Accounting, Tax, FP&A, IT, and business teams by delivering accurate, timely, and actionable financial information.
  • Establish and maintain strong data governance practices, data quality standards, and financial controls.
  • Monitor and improve the consistency, reliability, and usability of finance data across source systems and reporting platforms.
  • Champion practical applications of AI-enabled technologies to improve reporting, analysis, automation, and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and improve user experiences through technology and automation.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives, system modernization efforts, and data platform enhancements.
  • Partner with technology teams to design, test, validate, and implement system enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Lead or support user acceptance testing, training, and change management activities.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, analytical tools, and reusable data products that improve business visibility and decision-making.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in Accounting, Finance, Financial Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Product Ownership, or related field.
  • Experience connecting financial processes, systems, data, and reporting to solve business problems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence partners across Finance, Operations, Corporate Capabilities, and Information Technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify improvement opportunities and drive change in a dynamic environment.
  • Interest and ability to learn new technologies, accounting systems, reporting platforms, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Teams, Power BI, SharePoint, and Copilot.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience serving as a product owner, business lead, data steward, or reporting lead for finance, data, or analytics solutions.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation, large-scale system implementations, or business process redesign.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, automation, or advanced analytics to improve business processes and decision-making.
  • Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
