About the Role:

Lippert Building Products is looking for a Pricing Specialist to support our growing Estate and Heritage window business. This role will focus on developing accurate, competitive pricing for multifamily, apartment, light commercial, and other large-scale housing projects.
The Pricing Specialist will work closely with Sales, Pricing, Architects, Project Managers, Procurement, and Executive Leadership to review project requirements, develop estimates, prepare bids, and ensure proposals meet customer specifications and Lippert requirements while working along team members and direct contact with customers. This person will be active in internet based RFQ quoting systems. Along with this role, the Pricing Specialist will be the back-up to our Head of Pricing during vacations.

Essential Functions

  1. Review architectural drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
  2. Complete window and material takeoffs for large-scale projects.
  3. Develop accurate project estimates and competitive pricing.
  4. Prepare bids and proposals for multifamily, apartment, and light commercial projects.
  5. Calculate material costs, freight, and other project-related costs.
  6. Work with Sales and directly customers to answer pricing, product, and technical questions.
  7. Assist with quoting and pricing reviews for the Estate and Heritage product lines.
  8. Use EQ, Evolve, Excel, and other Lippert and non Lippert RFQ systems to build and maintain quotes.
  9. Work closely with Procurement and Operations to understand material availability, costs, and project requirements.
  10. Identify missing or conflicting information in project documents and work with the appropriate teams to resolve issues.
  11. Maintain accurate pricing, quote, and project information.
  12. Support the Sales team in developing strategies to win large-scale projects.
  13. Manage multiple quotes and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities upon hiring, however, potential direct reports are a possibility.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight work is also necessary.

Travel

Local travel is expected for this position.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Experience in estimating, pricing, construction, windows, building products, or a related industry
  3. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and blueprints.
  4. Experience with material takeoffs and project estimating.
  5. Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large amounts of data.
  6. Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  7. Excellent attention to detail.
  8. Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both customers and internal teams.
  9. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  10. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  11. Comfortable working independently while collaborating with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Leadership.
  12. Multifamily or commercial construction experience.
  13. Window or door industry experience.
  14. Experience in estimating, pricing, construction, windows, building products, or a related industry.
  15. Experience pricing large construction or replacement projects.
  16. Experience with estimating or quoting software.
  17. Experience working with architectural plans and construction specifications.
  18. Familiarity with EQ or Evolve is a plus.
  19. Knowledge and understanding of LCI's production processes and procedures.
  20. Well-spoken individual who can communicate clearly and respectfully with customer (internal & external) via phone or email.
  21. Ability to work independently, under pressure to meet deadlines/timelines.
  22. Team player, open to change and changing priorities a must.
  23. Demonstrated high sense of urgency; organizational skills and time management.
  24. Possess a strong ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast passed environment.
  25. Must be able to remain collected in stressful situations
  26. Capable of working within a team based structure.
  27. Willing and able to work overtime, when necessary.
