Job Summary The Clinical Nutrition Research Coordinator supports the development and implementation of a medically tailored meal (MTM) clinical trial at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. This role combines clinical research coordination with hands-on food operations, including recipe development and standardization, meal preparation and packaging, and tracking participant dietary restrictions to support delivery of an MTM intervention. The position will contribute to building and operationalizing a scalable meal production and delivery pipeline for nutrition-based clinical interventions.Does this position require patient care? No direct patient care is required. However, the role will involve interaction with research participants for recruitment, dietary tracking, data collection, and meal coordination. Essential Functions *Assist with recipe development and standardization for study meals *Track ingredients and perform nutrient and calorie calculations as needed *Support meal preparation, portioning, packaging, labeling, storage, and shipping *Track participant dietary restrictions, food allergies, and individualized meal needs *Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) *Support quality control processes and ensure intervention fidelity across study activities *Collaborate with a multidisciplinary research team across clinical and academic settings *Assist with documentation, organization, and coordination of clinical trial activities *Help with participant recruitment and research data collection Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor's degree have a six-month grace period from their hire date (up to one year if starting on a per diem basis) to provide degree equivalency verification. Essential Functions -Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verifies that all sponsor requirements are met. -Recruiting patients for clinical trials and conducting phone interviews. -Verifies the accuracy of study forms and updates them per protocol. -Prepares data for analysis and data entry. -Documents patient visits and procedures. -Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC Procedures. -Assists with interviewing study subjects. -Assists with study regulator submissions.
