PURPOSE: Responsible for inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs of small mechanical and non-mechanical rides and attractions withing Nickelodeon Universe, while providing a memorable shopping and entertainment experience.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:



  • Responsible for the inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs of the small mechanical and non-mechanical rides and attractions within Nickelodeon Universe.
  • Assist with routine inspections, lubrication, fluid replacements, and other preventive maintenance to ensure rides and equipment are in optimal condition.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, tracking repairs, inspections, daily and annual checks and sign-offs, in compliance with operation manuals.
  • Document maintenance and repairs needs in Work Order system, update work order system upon completion of tasks.
  • Assist Maintenance Tech II with performing annual preventative maintenance, including deep inspections and breakdown of assigned rides.
  • Respond to ride maintenance calls, including reset rides and machine faults, assist Ride Operations with ride evacuations, and close rides for repairs as necessary.
  • Assist with troubleshooting ride faults, error codes, and test ride safety and functionality before returning ride to operation.


  • Ensure Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed, and safety is maintained during LOTO.
  • Responsible for the overall safety of the immediate work area and surrounding work areas, as well as adhering to safety protocols and regulations.


  • Work with a variety of equipment including ride gear boxes, hydraulics, air compressors, hydraulic pumps, electrical contacts and relays, drill presses, bandsaws, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other woodshop and machine shop tools and equipment.
  • Assist other Maintenance departments as requested.
  • Assist Partnership Sales with event/banquet room setups (5-10% of the time)
  • Operate powered lifts, including scissor and boom lifts to perform ride inspection and repairs.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Attending or graduate of 2-year Vocational or Technical college program in industrial maintenance, related field, preferred.
  • At least 1-3 years previous experience in industrial maintenance, amusement park maintenance, or related field, preferred.
  • Previous knowledge in basic principles and practice with mechanical and electrical repair, hydraulics or pneumatics, and schematics.
  • Previous knowledge and safe use of a variety of related electrical equipment and/or tools preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Able to tolerate working at heights.


PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:


While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be required to speak and listen to co-workers, leaders and guests to understand maintenance needs and communicate a solution. Team members must also possess a level of hearing that will allow them to continuously be aware of their surroundings, including hearing and responding to alarms, radio communication, and sounds from machines and equipment to troubleshoot needs for repair and maintenance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Vision can be supplemented with corrective lenses, with the ability to wear eye protection and other required PPE to perform job duties Team members are required to be able to tolerate multiple sensory stimuli at once while performing their duties. These stimuli may include loud auditory/noise, smells/olfactory, lights, colors, motion, and other visual stimuli, as well as hot/cold temperatures and other tactile stimuli.

  • Push/Pull, up to 100lb assisted: Occasionally, about 50% of the time
  • Twist: Occasionally, about 50% of the time
  • Dexterity: Frequently, about 70% of the time


    • Use of both hands to effectively and safely perform tasks.
