Patient Access Representative - Outpatient Services Do you enjoy helping patients navigate their healthcare experience? St. Joseph Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to join our Outpatient Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients, has strong healthcare administrative knowledge, and excels at providing exceptional service. What You'll Do * Greet and assist patients throughout the registration process * Schedule appointments and coordinate patient services * Verify insurance eligibility and benefits * Review and explain deductibles, copayments, and other patient financial responsibilities * Assist patients with questions regarding their coverage and benefits * Update and maintain accurate patient records * Ensure all registration and insurance documentation is complete and accurate Schedule * Monday through Friday * 8-hour shifts * Start times between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM * Occasional weekend coverage may be needed * Weekend shifts are rare but candidates should be open to working a Saturday or Sunday if needed Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who: * Has prior patient access, medical office, healthcare administration, or related experience * Understands insurance verification and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) * Can confidently explain deductibles, copayments, and insurance-related information * Has strong communication and customer service skills * Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively * Enjoys building positive relationships with patients and healthcare teams Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orange, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
