Job Summary
A branch warehouse office II associate provides clerical and data entry support to operations. They are also responsible for working in the warehouse.
- Enter and process receivers, shipments, work orders, inventory transfers, inventory modifications, and customer returns in computer system.
- Review and proofread reports and system documents for accuracy.
- Research material usage to reconcile systems inventory discrepancies.
- Work with various departments to resolve inventory issues.
- Print inventory tags and prepare paperwork for shipments.
- Match and file bills of lading, packing slips, work orders, and certifications.
- Assist internal and external customers with questions and expedite orders.
- Track and report truck mileage and weights.
- Review weekly activity reports and take necessary action.
- Safely operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes).
- Organize work tickets according to location and material type.
- Retrieve material from inventory system according to work ticket specifications.
- Verify Material location, condition, and specifications on inventory tags to work ticket.
- Measure material using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Record and report inventory discrepancies.
- Transport material to designated saws for processing.
- Tag and return material drops to appropriate inventory locations.
- Select the appropriate packaging materials to construct boxes, crates, skids, and pallets.
- Stage orders in assigned locations for truck loading and delivery.
- Prepare orders for shipment using scales and strapping equipment and following special packing requests listed.
- Peform additional duties as instructed by supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
***This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position: requires operating heavy machinery***
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Office and warehouse experience directly related to the duties of the position.
- Effective communication skills, can work independently, organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to read, understand, and carry out work instructions in English.
- Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions required.
- Must be able to read and understand basic measurement functions (ruler, caliper, etc.)
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, physical, and meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Ability to pass a human performance evaluation to meet the physical requirements of the job (lifting, pushing, pulling up to 70 lbs. etc.)
