Job Summary The Musolino Laboratory at the Center for Genomic Medicine in collaboration with Dr. Linsday's laboratory of the Cardiology Department at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, a translational neuroscience laboratory focusing on developing gene targeted therapies for inherited cerebrovascular disorders that lead to stroke and leukodystrophy, ) is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join our research group.This full-time position requires a committed individual with prior experience working with rodents and is ideal for a candidate looking for a stable position in a well-funded lab. The research technician will execute experimental procedures as defined in research meetings with supervision from research scientists and principal investigators. Summary: Carries out a broad range of technically advanced research activities and procedures; evaluates conclusions and has considerable latitude to modify or devise methods and techniques as necessary to achieve desired results; typically supervises technical and sometimes administrative elements of the research unit. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: -Executes protocols of non-routine experiments. -Assists PI with determining the most suitable methodology. -Performs basic design and modication of protocols. -Calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data. -Prepares and presents reports. -Organizes and summarizes acquired data using scientic and Statistical Techniques. -Participates in the design of experiments or eld work.
