THE ROLE: AMD is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer to join our Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Lab in Austin, Texas. In this highly visible, hands-on role, you will be responsible for the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the critical equipment used to validate and manufacture AMD's next-generation semiconductor products. As the technical expert for ATE systems, you will partner with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to solve complex equipment challenges, improve uptime, and drive operational excellence. You will also play a key role in mentoring technicians, developing best practices, and supporting the introduction of new technologies into the lab environment. THE PERSON: You are a hands-on problem solver who enjoys tackling complex technical issues and driving them to resolution. You thrive in fast-paced environments, take ownership of results, and are recognized as a trusted technical resource by your peers. The ideal candidate combines deep equipment expertise with strong communication skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and a passion for mentoring others.
