Position Summary

The Student Centers Representative supports the daily operations and general management of the Donald Julian Reaves Student Activities Center and the Cleon F. Thompson Center. This position assists with event setup, facility operations, customer service, and the coordination of meetings, programs, and campus activities. The representative provides leadership, guidance, and support to Federal Work-Study ( FWS) student employees to ensure successful completion of assigned tasks and effective support of facility operations.


In addition to supervising student workers, the Student Centers Representative assists with monitoring and supporting student employee success by tracking academic progress, maintaining awareness of academic performance, encouraging engagement with campus resources, and collaborating with appropriate campus partners to promote student retention and success.
The position coordinates daily program operations, communicates policies and procedures, supports event and facility coordination, and assists with resolving operational needs. Responsibilities include providing administrative support, assisting with program activities, maintaining effective communication with campus partners and clients, and ensuring facilities are prepared, accessible, and responsive to campus needs.


The Student Centers Representative may serve as a program contact and assist with day-to-day operational activities, problem-solving, transactional services, and procedural support. Work may involve facilities coordination, event management, administrative support, student employee development, and program services.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Student Centers unit manages campus student center facilities, coordinates events and programs, provides operational and administrative support, and creates engaging environments that promote student involvement, leadership development, and student success. The unit oversees facility operations, event coordination, customer service, and student employee development to support the mission of the university.
