This position maintains the grounds throughout Panorama's 145-acre campus. This includes landscaped areas, hardscape, and cleaning of roofs and gutters. In addition, as a Lead, this position will assist with monitoring an assigned area to ensure maintenance is being performed to Panorama's standards. Work is in accordance with the Panorama's goal to provide a safe, attractive and functional facility for our residents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform to all aspects of grounds maintenance such as weeding, edging, mowing, pruning, raking, sweeping, blowing, seeding, sod work, leaf pick up, planting, transplanting, applying bulk landscape materials, clearing drains, snow/ice removal, and debris removal from grounds, roofs and gutters.
  • Provide first line support to section gardeners by assisting with prioritization of tasks, addressing "hot spots", and address resident complaints as appropriate. Track problem weed issues and work with assigned sprayer when necessary.
  • Perform monthly inspections in the sections assigned. Document work needed and follow up as necessary
  • Train new staff as assigned
  • Operate various tools, equipment and vehicles commonly used in grounds keeping in a safe, efficient and clean manner. This may include but is not limited to clippers, loppers, saws, rakes, shovels, edger's, mowers, hedgers, blowers, chainsaws, tractors, carts and trucks.
  • Perform routine equipment and vehicle maintenance checks as required. Notify supervisor of needed repairs.
  • Interact professionally with residents, address concerns appropriately and escalate concerns to the supervisor.
  • Complete required paperwork and assigned work orders accurately, and within specified timeframes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum two years' experience as a groundskeeper preferred or the equivalent experience to have basic knowledge of horticulture and maintenance to perform the job.
  • Washington State Driver's License and good driving record
