We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Service Technician to install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot fuel handling equipment for our customers. This position offers a variety of hands-on work in the field and is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys solving problems and delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace 12V and 110V fuel pumps.
- Install, repair, and service air-operated and pneumatic pumps.
- Diagnose and repair fuel system components, including meters, nozzles, hoses, and related equipment.
- Install, repair, and maintain tank monitoring systems and fuel management systems.
- Install and repair tank piping, fill lines, vent systems, and stingers.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues associated with fuel equipment and dispensing systems.
- Perform service and repairs on Gasboy equipment.
- Respond to customer service requests and communicate professionally throughout service calls.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Pick up, deliver, and relocate spill berms as needed.
- Maintain inventory and perform physical inventory counts.
- Complete service documentation and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work independently while managing daily service responsibilities.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must reside within 60 miles of the assigned work location.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical or Fit-for-Duty examination.
- Ability to successfully complete a driving test while hauling a utility trailer.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
- Reliable attendance and stable work history.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- This position requires extensive out-of-town travel. Must be able to worknights, early, stay late and/or work on weekends as needed.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules.
- Ability to safely lift 50-75 pounds.
- Ability to climb storage tanks up to 40 feet while following all safety procedures.
- Ability to accurately complete service reports and related documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience servicing fuel equipment.
- Electrical troubleshooting or electrical installation experience.
- Experience installing piping systems.
- Experience servicing Gasboy dispensers.
- Experience with Tecalemit Fuel Management Systems (FMS).
- Oilfield or roustabout experience.
- Experience servicing equipment in the trucking industry.
- Familiarity with local oilfield lease roads.
- Experience using iPads or mobile service technology.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
