Pay Range: $52,000-$90,498
Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
Location: Boston, MA
Purpose/Objective:
To analyze and underwrite credit requests for Bank prospects and clients in the Trust Advantage Program and maintain and monitor loans within the portfolio under the supervision of the Private Banker and Private Banking Manager.
Key Accountabilities:
* Analyze and underwrite credit requests in a timely fashion by using some or all of the following resources: applications, investment and financial statements, meetings with customers/prospects, web research and other resources as necessary
* Determine if request complies with Bank policy and note any exceptio
* Discuss deal structure, cash flow, collateral, and customer character with PB & SPB
* Assist in the underwriting of credit memos and discussing new prospects
* Present written analysis and observe presentations by SPB at Loan Committee
* Manage existing portfolio by monitoring collateral; tracking and preparing annual reviews and pipeline management
* Maintain tracking database, files and pipeline with updated information as needed
* Identify potential problem loans and deficiencies including document exceptions
* Assist clients when needed with questions regarding loans and retail products
* Performs other related duties as required including loan documentation, loan bookings, customer advances and pay downs, payoff requests and portfolio administration
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Experience:
* 1-3 years of commercial banking/credit experience
* Client service experience
Skills & Knowledge:
* Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving/critical thinking skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Extensive knowledge of PC applications, including Excel and Word
* Be well-versed in the Bank's credit policy, underwriting standards and product/service offerings
* Be familiar with and fulfill compliance requirements
* Excellent attention to detail
