What You'll Do:
Prepare guest rooms for the evening by turning down bed linens, folding back covers, and fluffing pillows to create a welcoming atmosphere following hotel standards. Replenish guest amenities such as towels, toiletries, coffee supplies, and glasses. Perform light cleaning tasks, including removing trash, straightening up the room, and wiping down surfaces. Adjust room conditions for guest comfort, such as setting the room temperature, closing curtains or blinds, dimming lights, and ensuring the overall room is ready for the night. Report suspicious behavior, lost items, unsecured valuables, and other discrepancies to supervisors. Attend departmental meetings and demonstrate teamwork by providing coverage in related areas when necessary while performing duties in a timely and efficient manner. Be familiar with hotel facilities, their locations, and operating hours to assist guests with accurate information. Maintain professional and friendly guest relations, offering assistance and ensuring guest satisfaction. Follow OSHA hotel safety protocols and department procedures regarding emergency situations, chemical use, protective gear, and safe work practices. Maintain a positive attitude and professional conduct at all times. Comply with all other Housekeeping Department and hotel policies and procedures. Regular attendance in conformance with standards. May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs. Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings. Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications Include:
- Previous experience in hospitality or relevant industry preferred.
- Familiarity with HOTSOS preferred.
- Must complete OSHA-mandated safety training within the first 30 days of employment.
- Position requires the ability to communicate effectively in English with team members, leaders, and guests.
- Position requires availability to work evenings, including weekends and holidays, as scheduled.
- Position requires prolonged standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling 100+ pounds repetitively throughout shift.
