Location: Onsite - Jacksonville


Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm


Salary range: $18.50 - $22.15, depending on experience



What work will you perform?


As a Compliance Specialist, you will work directly with our Owner Operator Drivers (internally know as Business Capacity Owners, or BCO's) to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations by reviewing and processing regulatory documentation, monitoring renewal and expiration requirements, maintaining accurate records in proprietary systems, and providing guidance on compliance-related matters. Your strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering professional customer service will make you successful in this role. This is an excellent learning opportunity for someone looking to begin or further their career in the transportation and logistics industry while building great rapport with our BCO's and making a direct impact on operational compliance and safety.


Essential Responsibilities:



  • Process DOT Medical Certificates, CDL's, MVRs for annual reviews, and endorsements of contracted owner-operators
  • Scan, and index documents in an efficient and timely manner
  • Process passenger authorizations
  • Audit and maintain files
  • Review and process any citations received by owner-operators
  • Counsels or terminates owner-operator contracts according to procedure
  • Provide resolution for operator issues via phone and email
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Experience and Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1 year of customer support in an administrative environment


Preferred Experience and Qualifications:



  • 1 year of transportation experience
  • 1 year of compliance/regulatory experience
  • Combination of both


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Strong data entry skills with a high degree of speed and accuracy.
  • Capacity to provide guidance, address challenging situations, and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work and solve problems independently; effectively utilize resources to identify solutions
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle competing demands
