We are looking for a Medical Information Specialist who is scientifically curious, customer-focused, and compliance-minded to join our Epilepsy & Rare Syndromes US team, based at our Atlanta, GA, headquarters.

About the role

As a Medical Information Specialist, you will provide accurate and timely medical information to healthcare professionals, patients, and internal UCB stakeholders. You will serve as a trusted resource and subject-matter expert, responding to medical inquiries, interpreting scientific literature and clinical data, and ensuring that responses are balanced, compliant, and aligned with applicable regulations and company policies.

Who you'll work with

You'll collaborate with teams across Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Pharmacovigilance to gather information and provide consistent, accurate responses. You'll also work with internal stakeholders on training, standard response materials, customer support needs, and medical congress activities.

What you'll do
  • Deliver accurate medical information to healthcare professionals, patients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Respond to inquiries using approved resources and compliant documentation practices.
  • Interpret scientific literature, clinical data, and product information.
  • Collaborate across Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Pharmacovigilance.
  • Support medical congress booths, scientific exhibits, and pre-congress training.
  • Improve medical information resources, processes, and customer experiences.
Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree in pharmacy, life sciences, nursing, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting literature searches and critically evaluating scientific literature.
  • 1+ year of experience using medical information databases, software, and office productivity tools.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree such as PharmD, MD, or PhD.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and therapeutic areas, with excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Experience in neurology or epilepsy.
  • Product launch experience.
  • Prior experience in medical information, medical affairs, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Occasional overnight travel; up to 10% may be required.

This position's reasonably anticipated base salary range is $108k-$141k per year. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
