Job Duties: Vice President, Risk Governance with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Responsible for insurance procurement, administration, and compliance for the firm's global insurance portfolio, including establishing procedures, standards, and specifications. Determine and negotiate insurance requirements based on business needs and regulatory obligations, ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance. Identify, analyze, and monitor operational and emerging risks across business processes, mapping exposures to insurance solutions and advising on enhancements. Assess business requirements, monitor performance, and drive improvements in risk management and insurance processes. Collaborate with the global operational risk team to evaluate the firm's operational risks and new activities to work through hypothetical claims scenarios and expected insurance response. Monitor insurance market and litigation trends to assess external claim developments and share best practices across teams to strengthen risk controls.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years (with a Master's degree) OR five (5) years (with a Bachelor's degree) with the following: performing data and contractual analysis of underwriting information, insurance policies, binders and endorsement to create, develop and ensure accuracy and adequacy of terms and conditions; conducting scenario analysis, including catastrophic and statistical loss modeling, to evaluate the probability of natural catastrophic events, identify and quantify trends, and prepare summary presentations on potential loss scenarios; knowledge of global insurance regulatory requirements and restrictions to identify and quantify exposures and recommend strategies to ensure compliance; monitoring insurance market and litigation trends to identify external claim developments and advise on policy contract impacts and enhancement requirements; administration of insurance captive including oversight of operational, financial performance and knowledge of compliance regulatory requirements; and presenting insurance terms, underwriting data and business requirements to global insurance company underwriters. International and/or domestic travel required up to 5% of the time per year to meet with insurance underwriters or attend market meetings and board meetings. All travel costs covered by the firm.
