Education Requirements



  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical coursework or Associate's degree preferred.


Experience Requirements



  • 1-3 years of quality inspection experiencein a manufacturing, machine shop, cleanroom, semiconductor, or similar production environment.
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment, including:

    • Calipers
    • Micrometers
    • Optical Comparator
    • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
    • Other inspection and test equipment


  • Knowledge of machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, coatings (paint, powder coat, plating), and assembly inspection preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and manufacturing databases.
  • Basic math skills and strong analytical abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Frequently walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 15 pounds continuously.
  • Use hands and fingers for precision measurement and inspection tasks.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to inspect detailed mechanical components and documentation.


Job Duties



  • Perform incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections on raw materials, components, fabricated parts, and finished assemblies.
  • Inspect mechanical assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and customer requirements.
  • Measure parts and assemblies using precision inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, CMMs, and other measuring devices.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, BOMs, travelers, specifications, weld symbols, and wiring/crimping requirements.
  • Generate inspection reports, First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation, and nonconformance reports as required.
  • Verify manufacturing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Perform basic CMM inspections and measurements.
  • Identify, document, and communicate quality issues while supporting corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all PPE and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
