This influential leadership role is based in Scarborough, Maine, and serves as a strategic partner to Chief Nursing Officers, nursing leaders, and education teams across multiple locations. Working within a highly collaborative matrix environment, the leader will provide direction and support to professional nursing and education teams while fostering strong relationships with academic partners, clinical stakeholders, and ancillary departments. The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor and mentor who is passionate about developing leaders, advancing professional practice, and building high-performing teams through collaboration, influence, and a commitment to excellence in patient care and workforce development.

Summary:
In full collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer of Maine Health operationalizes and oversees nursing affiliations and contracts for all MaineHealth clinical sites with academic partners in Maine and throughout the United States. Develops strong partnerships with academic colleagues to facilitate the continued expansion of nursing graduates. In collaboration with the Chief Nurse of MaineHealth oversees the provision of adequate clinical placement sites for academic partners through site individual site representatives. Provides guidance in appropriate on-boarding of academic clinical faculty and supports and facilitates all academic practice partnerships. In addition maintains supervisory responsibility and professional development opportunities for those clinical educators within the MH Department of Nursing Academic Affairs. Is knowledgeable of the electronic Clinical Placement system housed at MMC and understands the trends in clinical placement at every clinical site.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Masters degree in Nursing or appropriate field with Doctorate preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of Professional nursing practice, research, and education. Experience in teaching systems at the college or university system preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine.
  3. Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience as a nurse educator. 3 years of leadership or management experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of Allied Health professions, including roles, scopes of practice, and educational pathways.
  5. Communication: Understands the interprofessional nature of healthcare education and practice and integrates awareness of Allied Health disciplines into curriculum development and instructional strategies to support collaborative, team-based care.

The pay range for this position is $154,211.20to $208,624.00per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
