Responsibilities

Targeting is where intelligence becomes action. Peraton is looking for a Joint Target Intelligence Analyst to bring that precision to USCYBERCOM J2 at Fort Meade, MD - one of the most specialized and consequential targeting roles in the U.S. intelligence enterprise.

In this role, you'll drive the full joint targeting cycle - from target system analysis and Electronic Target Folder production to Battle Damage Assessments and dynamic targeting support for USCYBERCOM staffs and Joint Task Forces. You'll serve as a subject matter expert in targeting boards and working groups, shape policy, and develop the next generation of targeting professionals through hands-on training. What You'll Do
    Provide joint target intelligence across the full targeting cycle: target system analysis, joint target development, target list management, and combat assessment - in accordance with JP 3-60, JP 3-12, and applicable CJCSIs
  • Support dynamic targeting for USCYBERCOM staffs and Joint Task Forces
  • Coordinate joint target intelligence efforts across command components, other Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, and the Intelligence Community
  • Recommend joint target intelligence policy changes to USCYBERCOM staff
  • Produce high-quality joint target intelligence materials including Target System Analysis (TSA), Electronic Target Folders (ETFs), target graphics, and Battle Damage Assessments (BDA)
  • Develop joint target intelligence training materials and conduct OJT for government civilian, military, and contractor personnel
  • Submit all-source intelligence production requirements, intelligence RFIs, and intelligence report evaluations
  • Serve as subject matter expert during operational, planning, and joint targeting meetings, working groups, and coordination boards
  • Adhere to ODNI and DIA all-source analytic tradecraft standards: ICD 203, 206, 208, and 209
  • Author and maintain Operating Instructions (OIs) for Command-wide programs and initiatives

Qualifications

What You Bring

Required:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance with Polygraph
  • Minimum of 12 years w/o a degree or 10 years with AS/AA or8 years with BS/BA or 6 years with MS/MA or 3 years with PhD
  • Working knowledge of joint targeting processes, target system analysis, and IC/DoD classification guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports and target materials in Microsoft Office formats
  • Proficiency evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information using structured analytic techniques
  • Understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations across all-source platforms
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Completion of Joint Intermediate Target Development course
  • Completion of JTS Combat Assessments Course
  • Military background in targeting-related classification codes: USAF 14N4/1N8; USN 1830 / AQD 3A2 / IS PNEC K23A/K27 / SNEC K38A-K40A; USSF 14N/58
  • Experience with targeting tools: NPW, MARS, MAVEN, WARPATH, JCC2, or Joint Targeting Toolbox Capabilities Package (JTT-CP)
  • Familiarity with JP 3-60, JP 3-12, CJCSI 3121.01, 3122.06, 3160.01, 3370.01, and 3162.02
  • Background in Electronic Target Folder (ETF) production, Battle Damage Assessment (BDA), or collateral damage estimation
  • 12+ years of relevant experience, including work within the last 2 years
  • Master's degree in a related field - or a Bachelor's degree plus 5 additional years of senior-level experience (17 years total)
  • NGA Target Materials Production (TMP) certification
  • Collateral Damage Estimation (CDE) certification

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
