Senior Analyst

Purpose:


  • Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Analyst to join our team in Pascagoula, MS.


Job Description:


  • The Senior Analyst will provide engineering and technical services to Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) 1SI System Integration Branch around combat and warfare system testing and integration. Candidate shall provide technical and engineering support for the development, acquisition, validation and correction of technical data and technical documentation required for the detailed design, modernization, system integration, installation, operation, maintenance and testing of fielded and upgraded hardware and software.


The Senior Analyst will perform functions to include the following:


  • Participate in high-level management meetings, studies and reviews; develop briefings, issue papers, position papers or other documentation relating to the consistency of the combat system baseline. Ensure deficiencies are identified at the PEO IWS 1SI level. Develop responses to programmatic requests for information to include point papers, whitepapers and other requests for information.
  • Support ship checks of Combat System changes and participate in availability duration working groups.
  • Provide technical support for Sea Trials and other trials such as but not limited to shock trials, survivability trials, integrity inspections and survivability demonstrations. Follow up resolution of Live Fire T&E survivability items resulting from trials and inspections. Support includes providing inputs to test plans and procedures, participate in working group meetings, ride underway events, document discrepancies and track follow up actions/resolutions, witness tests and record results, and provide assessment of mission capability.
  • Provide training to the crew on the execution of live fire events and INSURV graded operational demonstrations as part of Acceptance Trial and Final Contract Trial. Additional training as required for special events such as Shock Trial.
  • Coordinates, track, and review test planning and test procedure development in support of ship test programs, Review and assess applicability, completeness, and maturity of test products such as the Test Index, Test Sequence Network, Master Test Plan, and Test Procedures.
  • Support the development and maintenance of planning documentation and conduct planning efforts necessary to identify, schedule, execute and monitor project-related tasks. This may include program management plans, plans of action and milestones, ship alteration implementation plans and the input of maintenance data in internal and external planning databases.
  • Provide technical analysis and support studies for systems integration with shipboard combat systems, training systems and future capability upgrades. Provide technical inputs and participate in technical working groups.
  • Support the management and progress tracking of Government Furnished Information, Government Property, ECP, Software ECP, work packages and Ordnance Alterations (ORDALTS) necessary to support directorate related systems and the ship installation and test program. Review ECPs for ship/system impacts.
  • Support Technical Data Package reading sessions for forward fit combat system changes to include coordination/preparation for ship integration input to change packages for combat system upgrades and equipment changes with ship impact into new construction and in service ships. Analyze and review ship topside design, space arrangements, cable block diagrams, electrical interface control drawing, combat system equipment list, combat system ship interface criteria, cable running sheets, electrical power sourcing and distribution, heating ventilation air conditioning, outline and installation drawings for installation control drawings and foundation impact.
  • Participate in Navy Review Team activities and other Program/Technical reviews dealing with development, modifications and/or the integration of combat system elements.
  • Participate in the planning and developmental tests of various product lines. Provide support for the analysis of test data gathered during product line performance evaluation and provide test observations and recommend solutions and improvements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in support of the AEGIS Combat System and IAMD mission area initiatives.
  • Support the coordination and integration of future designs into the AEGIS Combat System and Integrated Combat System.


Qualifications:


  • Must have a High School Diploma and at least 20 years of U.S. Navy Experience with the AEGIS Combat System.
  • Must be familiar with DDG Class ship Combat System (CS) hardware/software configurations, delivery, testing and acceptance processes.
  • Must be familiar with executive level Navy organizations, procurement & acquisition processes, design reviews, Test & Readiness Reviews and Navy Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Must be familiar with DDG Class ship Warfare Systems (WS), Combat System (CS), Integrated Weapon Systems (IWS) Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), Engineering Change Packages (ECPs), Ship Change Documents (SCDs), Warfare System Interface Diagrams (WSIDs), delivery, testing and acceptance processes, organizations and objectives.
  • Must possess excellent communication, writing, grammar, and customer service skills.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail with organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Security Requirements:


  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Must have an Active Secret Security clearance and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret clearance to be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards and U.S. Navy Ships.


Travel Requirements:


  • Up to 50% both within the US and outside the US
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (no later than position start date) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:


  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Ability to move up and down ladders and sleep onboard Navy vessels in berthing compartments and/or staterooms.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Pay Range: $120,000 - $125,000 per year
