Residential Garbage Truck Driver

Location: Okahumpka, FL

Pay: $23+ per Hour (Based on Experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Occasional Saturdays

Average 50-60 Hours Per Week

Full-Time | Year-Round Employment

Waste Connections is looking for safety-minded, dependable Residential Rear-Load Garbage Truck Drivers to join our growing team in Okahumpka, FL.

This is not just a driving position. Drivers will actively service residential routes by operating the truck, riding on the rear step between stops, and assisting with the collection of residential waste. Safely operate a residential rear-load garbage truck on assigned routes

Ride on the rear step of the truck between service stops when required

Repeatedly climb on and off the vehicle throughout the workday

Lift, pull, and empty residential trash containers

Perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment

Safely navigate residential neighborhoods while providing excellent customer service

Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations

Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Assist team members in completing routes safely and efficiently

Valid CDL (Class A or B)

Minimum 2 years of work experience with a stable work history

Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day

Comfortable riding on the rear step of the truck during residential collection routes

Ability to repeatedly climb on and off the truck throughout the shift

Strong commitment to safety and customer service

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Ability to work extended hours as needed

Residential Rear-Load or Front-Load experience is a plus, but not required
