The ideal candidate will bea licensed Radiology Technologist whoexhibitsprofessionalism,courtesy,and excellent customer service, while interacting with patients, guests and coworkersand the ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.

AsaRadiology Technologist,you willadminister roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients. Operate x-ray equipment, develop film, prepare patient's room, equipment,suppliesand medications. Providepatient services using imaging modalities.

Primary Duties:

• Prepare room, equipment,medicine,and materials as needed for patients. Cleans and disinfects x-ray room and equipment.Prepare barium preparation and other chemical mixture for x-rays.
• Prepare patient for x-rays, explains procedures, transfers patient to table, position patient, andassistspatient at end of procedure.Follow prescribed techniques in administrating general and specific x-rays. Adjusts equipment,determinesproper voltage, current, and desired exposure time. Arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient and adjusts the lead shield and selects properfilms.
• Radiographs all incoming patients.Observes patient and machine during procedures and reports unusual occurrences and records patient's condition.Routinelymaintainsstock supplies and performs general office duties such asdraftingreports.
• Assistschief technologist inmaintainingradiographic technique charts.TransportpatientsFollow infection control guidelines applicable to the section.Efficiently takes mobile x-ray unit to patient's room or emergency room.

Qualifications:

• Associatedegree in Radiology.
• Maryland State License.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology)Registered.
