Primary Purpose of Position	Warehouse operations staff are responsible for the proper handling and routing of any inbound and outbound freight and merchandise. They are tasked with properly handling all surplus property and performing the functions related to its processing.
Minimum Education/Experience	Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency. Note: Some state job postings state you can qualify by an 'equivalent combination of education and experience.' If that language appears above, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
Essential Job Duties	Deliver vendor orders as applicable to campus departments Pick up and deliver surplus property as required by campus end-using departments Organize and stage surplus property in the warehouse to maintain a neat work environment Update systems and maintain records as required and directed by management Assist in the annual verification of fixed asset inventories completed by campus departments Interact with vendors and customers as required to answer questions and provide a high level of customer service
Other Work Responsibilities
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education	Experience delivering vendor orders and transporting materials to multiple locations. Ability to pick up, move, and deliver surplus property safely; ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items. Experience organizing and staging items in a warehouse environment. Experience assisting with inventories or asset verification and ability to maintain accurate records and update systems as needed; Microsoft and Google Suite experience; Intermediate Skills preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and campus departments
