This position is eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Relocation assistance may also be available. Job Summary Under the direction of pharmacy leadership, oversees the daily operations of pharmacy services to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Provides leadership, guidance, and support to pharmacy staff while fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment. Partners with department leadership to establish and implement short- and long-term departmental goals, policies, and procedures, and promotes operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement. Essential Functions - Provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to pharmacy staff while serving as a role model and fostering a collaborative work environment. - Supervises and directs the daily operations of pharmacy services, including scheduling, staffing assignments, and workflow coordination. - Serves as a resource on pharmacy policies, procedures, and best practices for pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff. - Participates in the department's on-call rotation, as assigned. - Supports staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations. - Assists with the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new employees. - Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures. - Plans and facilitates educational programs, in-service training, and staff meetings to promote professional development and regulatory compliance.
