Augusta Pediatrics is a busy pediatric practice serving children and families in our community seven days a week. With 11 providers caring for patients from newborns through early adulthood, we provide comprehensive pediatric care, including phlebotomy, vaccine administration, preventive services, and treatment of acute illnesses. Our team is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care for every child and family we serve. The ideal candidate is available to work four days per week, including one closing shift, and participate in a rotating weekend schedule every 6-7 weeks. We are seeking a team member who is flexible, eager to learn, and passionate about providing exceptional care to children and families. Our team provides opportunities to gain expertise in phlebotomy, vaccine administration, patient education, preventive care, and the management of acute illnesses while working alongside experienced pediatric providers and staff. Medical Assistants provide clinical support, assist with administrative tasks, and provide general support in an ambulatory setting under the direction or supervision of the patient's physician or LIP/RN designee in accordance with policy, procedure and competency to promote patient health and wellness. Duties may include: patient care, vital signs, assisting licensed health care professionals, performing various laboratory tests, quality control indicators, and clinical intake. This position requires providing service to all age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.
Position Compensation Range: The pay range for this role is $18.37 - $28.47 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: * Currently enrolled or have completion of a Medical Assistant Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) and/or hold a current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), the AMT (American Medical Technologists), NAHP (The National Association of Healthcare Professions), the ARMA (American Registry of Medical Assistants), or the NHA (National Healthcare Association). * Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 6 months from the date of hire.
