HR Compliance Specialist I Location
US-MS-Jackson
Overview The Human Resources Compliance Specialist ensures that company policies and procedures align with the appropriate federal, state, and local laws and regulations including but not limited to the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Workers Compensation, Affirmative Action (AAP), EEO-1 and auditing the various HR functions to ensure regulatory requirements are met. Additionally, the Human Resources Compliance Specialist I partners with the 3rd party vendor to ensure regulatory compliance and final decision on absence requests approvals. Responsibilities * Ensures managers and associates understand how to apply for regulatory leave of absence (FMLA & Worker's Compensation) and ADA Disability Accommodations * Perform all additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
2+ years in Human Resources to include prior experience in HR compliance (FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.) OR 4 years as a HR Generalist handling HR compliance related topics and/or leave administration.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse requiring hand and wrist manipulation, while viewing computer screens Management retains the right to add, delete or modify the responsibilities and qualifications of the position at any time.
