DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides key clerical and administrative support to ensure the station operates efficiently and stays organized. The role involves preparing documents, handling audio transcription, and assisting station personnel with important daily tasks. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Clerical Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Station Commander and staff to maintain smooth operations
- Document Preparation: Prepare and type letters, reports, and other written materials with accuracy
- Audio Transcription: Transcribe taped interviews, communications, and recordings for station personnel
- Record Handling: Organize and maintain documents to ensure information is accessible and properly managed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Three years of experience using Microsoft Word.
- Three years of experience proofreading and editing various types of materials to ensure grammatical correctness and completeness.
- Two years of experience using Microsoft Excel.
- One year of experience working in a position that required processing invoices, payments, and managing financial accounts.
- One year of experience utilizing various office equipment such as a personal computer, copying machine, facsimile machine, and postage meter.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
