DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position reviews claim submissions, verifies documentation, and assists claimants through the unclaimed property process with professionalism and clarity. As a Claims Examiner 1, you will perform the following duties: * Claim Review: Examine claim forms and supporting materials for accuracy and completeness * Ownership Verification: Evaluate records and documentation to determine rightful ownership * Claimant Assistance: Respond to inquiries and explain requirements through phone and written communication * Documentation Guidance: Provide clear instructions about missing items or next steps needed for processing * Record Management: Maintain organized files and ensure information is documented correctly * Process Integrity: Apply policies, laws, and procedures consistently to protect the claims proces
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: After the successful completion of the training period, you may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, mandatory three days a week in the office and work from home (telework) up to two days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report daily to your headquarters location. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in general office work and graduation or equivalency from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be physically able to hear and understand phone callers and to sit at a workstation for prolonged periods of time.
- You must be able to articulate clearly and loudly enough to be easily heard and understood on the telephone.
- You must have experience using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, web-based utilities or have the ability to learn relevant software to perform job duties.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Call center customer service experience
- Experience reviewing claim documentation for accuracy and working within time constraints
