Summary:
The Quality
Engineer supports the overall Quality Management System. This position ensures
incoming quality by evaluating new and existing suppliers, driving the incoming
quality verification program at the Company, and resolving supplier issues to
closure in a timely manner. The QE tracks supplier quality issues in real time.
Additionally, the QE is responsible for supporting audits of the company
quality management system to AS9100. The QE develops audit plans, and documents
and reports audit results including any non-conformances. The QE manages the
preventive and corrective action program for all facets of the Company. The QE is
responsible for supporting management in driving compliance directives.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

Maintains the approved supplier's list and provides supplier qualifications; manages supplier corrective actions, component/BOM validation, and supplier audits; Drives material issue resolution.
Internal auditing to AS9100, documenting procedures necessary to meet ISO practices, where necessary.
Drive corrective and preventive action program, from initiation to resolution of items. Oversee peer review of records. Collect and analyze data to track improvement.
Work with Supply Chain management to drive supplier process and materials compliance with company requirements. Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure that all product documentation and products reflect the appropriate marking, labeling, and packaging to meet company requirements.
Perform all other duties as assigned

This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the Tolleson, AZ location.


Qualifications

Education, Training, Skills and
Experience Requirements:

Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/AS 9100 standards, previous auditing experience.
Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical and non-technical documents including but not limited to contracts, product drawings, and product specifications.
Attention to detail
Strong procedure writing skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to successfully interface with technical and non-technical personnel such as inspectors, designers, buyers, vendors, manufacturing personnel, and management.
Ability to multi-task with ease
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong understanding of the NADCAP process in the following areas is a plus: Heat Treating, Chem Processing, NDT, Materials Testing.
BS in Quality Engineering or Certified Quality Engineer through ASQ preferred.

Physical Demands:
A significant
portion of a Quality Engineer's time is spent at a desk, working on computers,
reviewing data, and creating reports. Using hands to type, handle, and feel
equipment or materials is common. Also requires standing or walking for brief
periods, such as visiting the shop floor or warehouse. May need to lift or move
items weighing up to 50 lbs. May require reaching, bending, or stooping. Close
vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus are often required for
tasks like reviewing documents or inspecting products.

This role involves access to technical data and/or hardware subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). In order to comply with these laws, employment is contingent upon verifying your status as a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. * 120.15, or obtaining any required government authorization.
