TheGroundworks and MarineSectoris part of theInfrastructureGlobal Business Unit (GBU)and Heavy Civil Business Line. It isbased in Houstonandpartnerswith other Global Business Units (GBUs)and Business Linesto self-perform(direct hire)critical civil, earthworks, marine, and foundation scopes that might otherwise be subcontracted. The Groundworks and Marine Sectorcollaboratesacrossthe lifecycle of projects,includingin theestimating,pre-constructionplanningand execution phaseswith a particular focus onscheduling, project controls, supply chain, and construction execution. By applying heavy civil expertise, Bechtel processes, and lessons learned from major LNG projects, the Cross-GBU model delivers safe, cost-competitive, schedule-driven execution while reducing risk, improving self-perform productivity, and providing proven capability in complex site development, ground improvement, piling, marine infrastructure, and other heavy civil works. Job Summary:
The Field Engineer (Civil)willbe based in the Houston office andsupportthe upcoming proposals/FEED/Execution Planning/Estimate work ona wide range of upcoming Cross GBUProspects.Responsibilities includepre-construction planning, developingexecution strategies,supportingestimating/ project controlsandinitial project mobilization,with a view ofmobilization to the fieldin the long term.#LI-RM1 Major Responsibilities:
