About the Hiring Group

We are seeking an early-career Research Scientist to join our Patient-Centered Outcomes team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in health outcomes research, epidemiology, psychology, public health, or a related field who is eager to build expertise in patient-centered research, evidence generation, and consulting. Working as part of multidisciplinary project teams, you will contribute to qualitative and quantitative research, literature reviews, proposal development, and scientific communications while developing client engagement skills. In addition to supporting research activities, you will gain exposure to portfolio management and consulting operations.

This position provides a structured development path toward independent scientific leadership responsibilities.


What You'll Do

Scientific Research & Analysis

  • Conduct targeted literature reviews, synthesizing findings into clear scientific summaries and evidence tables.
  • Develop interview guides, and analysis plans with guidance from senior scientists.
  • Perform qualitative coding and thematic analysis and/or quantitative analyses using established methodologies.
  • Draft sections of study protocols, reports, manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, and client deliverables.
  • Support interpretation of study findings and contribute to scientific discussions within project teams.
  • Ensure scientific quality and adherence to established research methods and quality standards.

Professional Development

  • Build expertise in patient-centered outcomes research methodologies, consulting practices, and client engagement.
  • Participate in internal initiatives that improve scientific methods, operational efficiency, and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop communication, and consulting skills through progressively increasing responsibility.

What You'll Need

Typical Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Outcomes, Psychology, Sociology, Biostatistics, Health Services Research, or a related discipline.
  • Related internship, graduate research assistantship, or consulting experience is desirable.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Foundational knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to synthesize scientific literature and communicate findings clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to coordinate assigned project activities while meeting timelines and quality expectations.
  • Collaborative work style with the ability to contribute effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with statistical or qualitative analysis software is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Python and AI-enabled analytical techniques for data management, analysis, and data visualization.
  • Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to continuously learn and develop.
  • Able to independently deliver assigned work products with minimal supervision while appropriately seeking guidance on more complex issues.

Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.
