What to Expect
The Sr. Quality CSA Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring Tesla's construction projects adhere to strict building code compliance - specifically the International Building Code (IBC) and International Fire Code (IFC). This leadership role oversees the full quality lifecycle of construction projects, from initial planning through final closeouts, by managing factory-wide specifications, scheduling inspections, and implementing corrective actions. The position requires rigorous oversight to ensure all site activities and deliverables meet safety protocols, quality benchmarks, and regulatory standards.
What You'll Do
- Ensure strict adherence to building code compliance on construction sites, specifically enforcing the International Building Code (IBC) and International Fire Code (IFC) standards
- Review plans, blueprints, and specifications for structural steel, concrete, and civil engineering to identify potential issues and ensure accuracy
- Oversee construction projects by monitoring every phase - from initial planning through final project closeouts - ensuring all deliverables meet required standards and safety protocols
- Plan, schedule, and conduct regular site visits and factory-wide inspections to verify workmanship and material quality
- Review project specifications and design documents to ensure alignment with quality benchmarks before and during construction
- Document all Quality Assurance (QA) activities comprehensively to maintain a clear, auditable record of compliance and quality performance
What You'll Bring
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in construction quality management or project management, with a specific focus on CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) disciplines
- High-level understanding of the International Building Code (IBC), International Fire Code (IFC), and general construction quality assurance standards
- Excellent communication skills to enforce compliance and coordinate with diverse project teams
- Strong leadership capabilities to manage quality across multiple project phases
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation and specification analysis
